The iconic and historic 7 Mile house has been open since 1858 in Brisbane, CA, just on the outskirts of San Francisco (7 miles, to be exact). For the last fourteen of those years, owner Vanessa Garcia has been taking care of her guests and employees at this award-winning, family and dog-friendly restaurant and sports bar. Out of concern for her restaurant family’s safety, she chose to close temporarily until it’s safe to reopen–but she wonders when that will be.
Vanessa knows and feels the weight of so many employees, small businesses, and vendors relying on her, and looks forward to the day, hopefully soon, when she can open again. She very much misses connecting with her employees and guests. Despite the loneliness, she sees the blessings in the aftermath of the virus: nightly meals cooked by her mom, more quality time together, cleaner air, and amazing sunsets will sustain her until 7 Mile House can open again.

Cheetah is an e-commerce platform designed for independent restaurant and small business owners to order wholesale food and supplies for next-day delivery. Due to high consumer demand for groceries and supplies during the COVID-19 crisis , and the unfortunate closure of many restaurants, Cheetah has opened up its wholesale services and facilities to give local communities access to the supplies they need. Cheetah has turned its refrigerated trucks into mobile fulfillment centers whereby consumers can place their order through the Cheetah mobile app and pick it up from the truck, which will be parked at multiple designated will call locations in the Bay Area. Founded in 2015 by Na’ama Moran, Christopher Elliott, Alon Har-Tal and Vincent Matranga, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Israel.
